Here’s the nice thing about freelancing, I finally get to make art again

Molly Daniel’s doppelgänger
(@kxtradio spelt her name wrong after playing her song on the radio but it’s ok cause we still love them and are super proud of her)

I have known my oldest friend since 5th grade. He was a drum major, cool guy. He got fired from Kohls, and I respected that. We lived together freshman year at TCU, then on off again for the next 10 years.
Hayden’s a character, a genius, and a funny fucking dude. I’ve always said if I ever get to write a movie, I’m writing a character based entirely off of him.
For the first time in almost our entire lives, we aren’t gonna be living in the same city and that bums me out a bit. We’ve been through it all together, seen each other very much at our lowest and we still played pool together.
So bless you my guy, may Jerry Garcia watch over you, and enjoy Denver until I get there.

I’M BACK Y’ALL — after two years shooting for Dickies, a move, a crash, and a creative reset.
Felt like it was time to catch y’all up with a little life update.
For the past two years, I had the absolute fortune of being the photographer behind all of Dickies’ product photography. It was a beautiful, intense, and completely worth it experience. And I got to work with a team I’d die for in an instant. But after two years, I knew it was time for a change (and Dickies apparently thought the same thing about a month later).
In September, I moved to Dallas with the love of my life, @mariellguzman In October, I totaled my car in an accident (everyone’s fine thankfully). In February, I left my staff position and returned to freelance photography and DP work. So: new city, new car, new (old) job. Full reset.
These days, I’m feeling good. I love our little home, our little pets, my hot ass girlfriend and this weird and wonderful freelance life that lets me chase both client work AND jump back into the art world again.
But I’d be lying if I said it’s easy. All of this comes against the backdrop of a fragile economy, a volatile government, and that familiar anxiety that comes with being a freelancer. On top of that, the creative industry is in a weird place—budgets are tight, competition’s wild, and the stress is real. Still, I wouldn’t trade it. I love this work, and I’m grateful every time someone trusts me to do what I do.
So, if you feel what I’m saying—or you’ve got work that needs doing—please feel free to DM me. We get through these times with community, and I wanna make sure y’all know my door’s open.
Also, shout out to @crescente.patricio for this insanely beautiful vest
